Kishor Kumar, perhaps the most versatile artist India has ever produced
has been an inspiration to today's leading singers, who have been "inspired"
by his style of singing.
Today when we listen to renowned singers like Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, Vinod Rathod,
Babul Supriyo..etc.etc.; we can realise that there is a Kishor Kumar being followed by
them.
This proves the genuinity and the excellence beyond achievement for today's
singers.
The best part about Kishor Kumar was his versatility. It is very difficult to
typecast this enormously talented artist into a specific segment. Who was Kishor Kumar.....what would one call
him ????
A singer.....an actor......a dancer......a composer........a director......?? Folks
this answer is more difficult for everyone to answer than the question "Pehle murgeee yaa andaa??"
Kishor Kumar was a gem
and an inspiration for me (and perhaps all music lovers) as his versatility has appealed
to me a lot and he is an ICON for me...someone worth worshipping after R.D. Burman &
Asha Bhosale (after all Pancham & Kishorda were langoteee yaaar).
