| Life
without music for me is like a flower without any fragrance !! Yeah I mean it bcos there is a musician in me thru and thru. I am damn sure that if I wouldn't have been a Software Professional I would have been a Musician...but no regrets as even today I still enjoy my piece of cake !! Though I am a Percussionist, drumming extracts the most out of me (though I still am in the learning phase). As far as music is concerned, my aim is to be a music composer and a music arranger (though its long long way to go as yet). Though all sorts of musics appeal me.... I am drived crazy by Theme Musics and background scores.....just imagine scoring a background score like TITANIC or composing music like Yanni, Pt. Hariprasad Chourasia, Zakir Hussain, Pt. Ravi Shankar.....its just beyond imagination. Though its difficult to step on 2 stones (career and music) I am sure that I will be successful to balance myself in the tug-off war !! 
 Friends, when it comes to introducing me as a musician I would call myself....."Jack of all...trying to be master of one!!" (ha ha ). Oh yeah !! I mean it when I make the above statement as I still have to achieve a state as a percussionist, where I can feel that "OK..here I am ready for a gig !!" Folks I am a born musician and have inherited music from my family (it's in my blood u know!!). My dad plays the harmonica, flute, the keyboards and was my childhood inspiration to start off with music. Oh yes and how can I forget my mom.....who happens to be my greatest critic....GOSH !! When can I satisfy her by living to her expectations ???? (ayega ...ayega ...mera number ayega). My younger sister...who too plays thedrums helps me to be a student always !! But apart from these all .... my biggest inspiration is my elder brother whom I observed playing the drums and sing with that intense passion....just making the crowd go wild !! Today whatever music I know... I owe it to him, my brother Jaydeep who passed away in 1995 but is still with me in the form of the music that we played together, the dreams that we saw together of our own recording studio. |
